Crosby‘s Water Report
Here is a list of the harmful contaminants and chemicals found in Houston’s water report. Click the “Download City Report” below to review the complete report. Because contaminant levels fluctuate depending on location, Clean Water Today will provide a water analysis right from your home. The in-home assessment will typically focus on the same contaminants found in your city’s water test such as Nitrates, Lead, Chlorine, Chromium Hexavalent 6, and others.

Copper
Levels of Copper were detectedCAUTION
Short-term exposure to copper can cause gastrointestinal distress. Long- term exposure above the MCL can cause liver or kidney damage and eye/nose irritation. Common sources of contaminants in drinking water: corrosion of household plumbing systems and erosion of natural deposits.

Chlorine
Levels of Chlorine were detectedCAUTION
According to the U.S. Council Of Environmental Quality, “Cancer risk among people drinking chlorinated water is 93% higher than among those whose water does not contain chlorine.”
Common source of contaminant in drinking water: water additive used to control microbes.

Lead
Levels of Lead were detectedCAUTION
In children, low levels of exposure have been linked to damage to the central and peripheral nervous system, impaired hearing and impaired formation of blood cells. Common sources of contaminants: corrosion of household plumbing systems and erosion of natural deposits.

Nitrate
Levels of Nitrate were detectedCAUTION
Infants below the age of six months who drink water containing nitrate in excess could become seriously ill. Symptoms include shortness of breath and blue-baby syndrome. Common sources of contaminants: runoff from fertilizer use, leaching from septic tanks, erosion of natural deposits.
The contaminates listed above are a sample of the contaminants found in the city water report. We recommend downloading the city report to see a full list of contaminants and the level of these contaminates. Having the contaminate highlighted on this page or in the city report does not indicate that the contaminate is above the EPA approved level. We recommend matching the level in the city report with EPA approval levels that should be displayed in the city water report.
